Event Postponement

We have made the decision to postpone the "A Night in Fantasia - 21st Anniversary" concert scheduled for Sat 14 September 2024 due to a medical emergency affecting a key member. While we have not yet set a new date for the concert, we will make an announcement as soon as it is confirmed.
Please be sure to follow us on Facebook as we will be posting updates as they become available.

For those who have purchased tickets, a separate email will be sent via Eventbrite and a full refund will be issued.

Sat 14 September 202421st Anniversary Concert!

To commemorate the 21st anniversary of the Eminence Symphony Orchestra, we are thrilled to announce a concert in Sydney, Australia, set to take place in September 2024. Joining us for this momentous occasion will be the founder of the orchestra, Hiroaki Yura, along with a group of esteemed performers who share a close bond with him. Under the expert guidance of our chief conductor, Philip Chu, the orchestra will captivate the audience with exceptional renditions of beloved masterpieces cherished by game and anime enthusiasts.

  • Dale North

    Composer

    Dale North is a music composer for video games, based in San Diego, California. Dale is best known for his work on the soundtrack for Wizard of Legend, Marble Knights, Wargroove 2, and Astral Ascent, and his branding with Nintendo (Nintendo Minute, Nintendo Power Podcast, Nintendo eShop "The Download"), Tokyo Game Show, Sega, Qualcomm, and Engadget. His works feature a blend of live piano, orchestral sounds with synthesizers and sound sets reminiscent of the Super Nintendo era. His experience growing up in Tokyo has greatly influenced his game music creation and he continues to visit frequently.

  • Michael Chu

    Writer

    Throughout his distinguished 18-year tenure at Blizzard Entertainment, Michael Chu most notably served as the lead writer for the globally acclaimed Overwatch series, where he meticulously crafted the universe and compelling stories for its diverse cast of heroes. In addition, he was a key contributor to such legendary titles as the World of Warcraft and Diablo series. He has also worked for Obsidian Entertainment on the design of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II and Grounded. Since 2023, he has brought his expertise to the Video Production Company SAFEHOUSE as a supervisor.

Established in 2003 in Sydney, Australia, our orchestra was founded by the talented sound director Hiroaki Yura, who was a violinist at the time. We specialise in enchanting performances and recordings of video game and animation music, earning recognition both domestically and internationally. Our repertoire includes AAA-titled video games and a Netflix drama series, and our dynamic performances perfectly capture the essence and atmosphere of these productions. With a team of highly skilled musicians, many of whom hold principal positions in major orchestras and are international competition winners, we have been honored with invitations to perform for dignitaries across the globe.

As we approach our 21st anniversary, we are thrilled to announce our upcoming concert in Sydney in September 2024. Join us as we celebrate this milestone and continue our musical journey together.
